Within the framework of its scientific and academic vocation, the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) organises an international conference entitled Weaving histories from below in the Global South: Needlework, Gender, and Empowerment, which will take place on 2-3 November 2022. IFAS invites several researchers specialising in this field, including Stephanie Marie Coo, postdoctoral researcher, at the Departamento de Historia del Arte, Universidad de Granada.
