Description

I was invited to deliver a lecture and to attend the courses for the Module: The Philippines in an Interdisciplinary Context (Summer School Master).

The summer school addresses the historical, geographical, cultural and social development of a multicultural country between tradition and modernity and which is facing major challenges due to climate change. The aim is to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the internationally challenging phenomenon of migration and mobility. The focus on the Philippines promotes a deeper examination of the topic. With four thematic blocks, the summer school offers elective and thematically individual in-depth options. Alternatively, you can only take part in the first or second block week. Work includes travel reports, colonial chronicles of the Chinese community and the analysis of Filipino English. The thematic blocks are supplemented by an excursion and plenary events that bring together the results. A cultural supporting program accompanies the summer school.
