The Seminar (Archive and Memory of the Cape-Verdian and African Press) was an initiative of the IGSCP-PE - International Group for Studies of Colonial Press of the Portuguese Empire and its partner the IANCV - Instituto do Arquivo Nacional de Cabo Verde. Viewed a scientific encounter about colonial press and the creation of a local branch of the IGSCP-PE. Among other activities, it allowed listening and discussing, for the first time in an African country, the last significant interview of the anticolonial thinker and political leader Amilcar Cabral.
