Maria Irene Montermann, born 9.05.1999 in Giessen
successfully completed an internship from the 01.10.2023 to the 31.03.2024 in
Livraria das Insurgentes, located in Lisbon, Portugal.
Livraria das Insurgentes is an intersectional feminist project that promotes books
written by women, non-binary people and those oppressed by the cis-hetero-
patriarchal system. We focus on giving visibility to female and non-binary voices.
Besides running a bookshop we organize events, workshops, trainings and do
collaboration with cultural associations and institutions.
During her internship Maria was responsible for the following task:
Social media managment
Organization of events and workshops
Participation in events such as debates in schools, universities and cultural
institutions
Placement of orders for the bookshop
Inventory for the bookshop
Creating and Expanding the catalogue for the Bookshop and Library
Establishing Agreements with Publishing Houses and Editors
