Linguistic interfaces: first and second language acquisition

Activity: Talk or presentationOral presentation

Description

Course lectured within the Lisbon Summer School in Linguistics 2019 programme.

Abstract: This course will cover topics at the interface between different linguistic levels (syntax, morphology, phonology, lexicon, discourse). Evidence from the L1, 2L1 and L2 acquisition of different phenomena (subject-verb inversion, pronoun production and interpretation, stress position, among others) will be discussed in light of the hypothesis that some interface domains are harder to acquire or are more vulnerable to crosslinguistic influence.
