Description
The study of historical port dynamics is of great scientific interest due to its social, economic, political, cultural and natural repercussions. The exchange of knowledge and the consolidation of international research groups on this subject entail the need to articulate a permanent academic network. From an eminently Atlantic orientation, this network aims to provide solid and stable academic coverage for the development of research on the history of ports in an integrated and transdisciplinary way. This international network will promote specific research and training in the history of port communities, urban history, maritime transport, heritage and its management, socio-ecological transitions, as well as other related topics of societal and environmental interest. The chronological scope covers from Late Antiquity to the present time, allowing the incorporation of members of the international research community in any of its historical stages.Period | 27 Jul 2024 |
