Description
The CETAPS/TEALS Advanced Research Seminar began in 2019 - its aim is to provide avenues of interaction between established and early career researchers and to address areas of research associated with languages in education. As a scientific seminar, it also aims to contribute towards breaking new ground in language education and to involve the presentation and discussion of both recently published work and research in progress.
The objectives of the CETAPS / TEALS Advanced Research Seminar are:
(a) to encourage researchers, in particular early-career researchers, to share their research activity. (b) to offer a springboard for fruitful discussion within the context of work-in-progress. (c) to facilitate synergies for possible collaboration among established and early-career researchers. (d) to strengthen the sense of belonging within the CETAPS/TEALS research group.
The 6th Advanced Research Seminar: Researching multilingualism and education for a global citizenship brings keynote speakers with expertise in these two fields: Mónica Lourenço (University of Aveiro, Portugal) will discuss her work associated with Global Citizenship Education in Portugal and Nayr Ibrahim (Nord University, Norway) will present of her research into Dominant Language Constellations. We welcome abstracts from the CETAPS community to contribute to a day of focused presentations and discussion.
